Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Tools Test Lead to plan, coordinate, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for enterprise data governance platforms including Collibra Data Quality, Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, Power BI, and ServiceNow. The role ensures solutions meet business requirements, comply with data governance standards, and deliver a seamless user experience before production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with data governance, business, and technology stakeholders to understand testing requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.

Validate requirements with business stakeholders, QA teams, and product owners.

Develop comprehensive test strategy, plans, and acceptance criteria for Data Governance tool platforms.

Create detailed test cases, scenarios and automated test cases for the Data Governance tools ecosystem.

Develop and maintain automated tests where feasible (UI, API, batch processes).

Serve as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams during testing.

Manage test environments, data setup, and testing tools.

Execute tests for different cycles, log defects, and track resolution.

Facilitate office hours, workshops, and UAT sign‑off, providing clear reporting on test progress and outcomes.

Identify and raise risks impacting testing timelines or quality.

Maintain detailed documentation for traceability, audit, and compliance purposes.

Ensure coverage for data governance, data quality rules, workflows, and integrations.

Ensure adherence to regulatory, enterprise data governance, and SDLC standards.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years in UAT or QA roles, with at least 5 years in a lead capacity.

Hands‑on UAT experience and a solid understanding of test methodologies in the data management domain.

Knowledge of data governance concepts, data quality frameworks, and metadata management.

Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, XRAY, and Zephyr.

Comfortable working with SQL and BI tools to validate data.

Test automation skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript.

Experience with API testing (REST) using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.

Solid understanding of functional, integration, regression, UAT, and negative testing.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with JIRA and Confluence.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to work with complex data and metadata models.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Establish a unified testing framework aligned to the Data Governance Testing Manager’s strategy.

Support the Global Data Management Department on testing maturity and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Collibra certifications.

Familiarity with integration testing involving ETL tools, APIs, or data lakes.

Prior experience in Agile or DevOps environments.

Nice‑to‑Have

Direct hands‑on experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Platform (Catalog, glossary, workflow, lineage, policies) and Collibra Data Quality (rule configuration, monitoring, scorecards).

Experience with Data.World or Apache Atlas.

Experience with data quality automation tools such as Great Expectations, Deequ, or SODA.

Performance Metrics

UAT completion within agreed timelines.

Defect leakage rate post‑UAT.

Stakeholder satisfaction with the UAT process and outcomes.

Hybrid Work Model SMBC’s employees work in a hybrid model that allows both remote and on‑site work. Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of their office.
