Senior Project Engineer – Project Engineering Team viewThe Energy Storage Project Engineer plays a critical role in the successful delivery of utility-scale battery energy storage projects. This position serves as the primary technical liaison between internal teams, customers, vendors, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. This role demands strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple technical tasks in a fast-paced project environm.
Primary Responsibilities

jectsServe as the project technical lead, driving alignment with internal teams, outside engineering, vendors, contractors and customers. Respond to RFIs, identify and close technical gaps, lead meetings, and coordinate design changes and clarificat
ions.Vendor and Material Manag
ementDevelop project-specific Bills of Materials (BOMs) and coordinate technical requirements and approvals with ven
dors.Site Visits and Evalua
tionsVisit the project site to meet with other stakeholders, troubleshoot problems, and check that the status of field
workTesting and Commissioning Su
pportCreate commissioning and test plans based on contract requirements, support Factory and Field Acceptance Testing (FAT/FIT), and assist with troubleshooting during commissio
ning.Project Documentation and Repo
rtingTrack technical issues, prepare weekly technical reports, prepare technical submittals, and create acceptance test reports for customer approval. Escalate complex technical issues to the Project Engineering Leader, assisting in resolution by providing thorough documentation and anal

Qualifications
ationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related
field.Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering and implementation of large electrical pr
ojectsKnowledge of energy storage systems, including batteries and inve
rters.Experience with project engineering processes, including technical document control, vendor coordination, and submittal prepar
ation.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet dead
lines.Strong understanding of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, SCADA systems, and network infrastru
cture.Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, UL,
NFPA).Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with customers, vendors, and internal
teams.Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as needed for site assessments, commissioning support, and customer mee
