Base pay range $185,000.00/yr - $327,000.00/yr

About Lambda At Lambda, we’re building the world’s best AI infrastructure platform. Our Data Center Business Services (DBS) team provides strategic and operational support across Lambda’s data center portfolio. The Principal Lead, DBS serves as a senior strategic partner to the Director, overseeing the execution, coordination, and scalability of DBS functions, including Expense Management, Operations & New DC Demand, and Supplier Management.

What You’ll Do As the Principal Lead, DBS, you will oversee and coordinate the work of managers and ICs across DBS, ensuring alignment with Lambda’s strategic objectives and operational excellence. You will act as a senior escalation point, drive cross-functional initiatives, and implement scalable processes to support the team and broader organization.

You Will:

Partner closely with the Director to translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives and operational plans.

Provide strategic oversight and coordination across DBS managers in Expense Management, Operations & New DC Demand, and Supplier Management to drive alignment and delivery.

Act as a senior escalation point for complex operational or contractual issues, delays, or risks across all DBS functions.

Drive cross-functional collaboration with Finance, SAMs, AP, DCIE, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and proactive issue resolution.

Monitor portfolio-level performance, providing insights and recommendations to managers.

Lead process improvement, standardization, and operational excellence across DBS functions, including Standard Operating Procedure development, dashboards, and reporting.

Drive a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability.

Lead critical projects or initiatives requiring cross-functional coordination, strategic thinking, and timely execution.

Serve as a trusted advisor to the Director, providing insights, analysis, and recommendations to support decision-making and long-term planning.

About You

Proven experience leading teams responsible for data center business operations, supplier management, or infrastructure project coordination.

Strong strategic and operational mindset, balancing day-to-day execution with long-term planning and scalability.

Excellent problem-solving skills, able to navigate ambiguity and drive solutions across multiple functions.

Skilled at stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration, able to influence and align diverse teams.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, able to prioritize effectively and adapt to changing priorities.

Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.

Represent the DBS organization across business initiatives, driving cross-functional alignment, clarity, and delivery. Act as a trusted delegate to the Director by ensuring priorities, stories, and outcomes are advanced and completed across all DBS functions.

Familiarity with contract management, lease administration, support planning, and expense forecasting.

Experience with process improvement, SOP creation, and cross-functional project management.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.

Salary Range Information The annual salary range for this position has been set based on market data and other factors. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
