Overview
The University of South Alabama is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Athletic Performance Women’s Soccer and Women’s Volleyball. This is a full- time, twelve-month position requiring no regular season team travel.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement the athletic performance program for Women’s Soccer and Women’s Volleyball, and additional designated sports as needed.
Educate student‑athletes and coaches on nutrition and supplements in conjunction with the health care administrator.
Manage operational budget and spending for general athletics, athletic health, and performance programs.
Perform required duties and manage all facets related to a Division I intercollegiate athletic performance and conditioning program.
Report to the Sr. Associate Athletic Director/Title IX Coordinator and work closely with the Women’s Soccer and Women’s Volleyball Program and other sport programs as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
CSCS or SCCC, USAW, and CPR certification.
Minimum of one-year intercollegiate coaching experience.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and guidelines, development, implementation, and coaching with strength program compliance.
Administrative experience in an intercollegiate strength and conditioning program encompassing all genders of intercollegiate athletic programming.
Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to relate and communicate with coaches, staff, and student‑athletes.
