Role We are looking for a Voice Engineer to join our Network Engineering Team.
Responsibilities
A solid understanding and hands-on experience with Cisco/BroadSoft and Oracle SBC configurations and reference architectures.
Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols such as SIP, H.323, MGCP, RTP, codecs, and related troubleshooting.
Work with Hosted Voice environments (BroadSoft preferred) and Session Border Controller experience for Access and SIP Trunking.
Knowledge of Legacy E9-1-1 and NG9-1-1 technologies and standards such as NENA i3. Knowledge of Kari’s Law and RAY BAUM’S act.
Experience with Avaya, Cisco, Oracle, BroadSoft, Microsoft UC products, Polycom, and Adtran IADs.
In-depth knowledge of IPv4 & IPv6 networking (IP addressing, CIDR, VLSM, ARP, IP routing) and Layer-2 technologies including 802.1q VLAN tagging.
Experience with scripting and test automation is highly preferred.
Experience designing and deploying carrier SIP solutions.
Experience with private, public, and hybrid clouds.
Manage end-to-end Voice and Collaboration infrastructure delivery lifecycle, including translating business requirements to enable technical execution of network programs and projects.
Experience working with vendors providing VoIP components; stay informed about new VoIP components or features that could benefit customers.
Interact with inter- and intra-departmental peer groups to cooperatively achieve best results.
Experience with VoIP security platforms, robocall mitigation, STIR/SHAKEN, and VoIP troubleshooting tools.
Experience with LCR (Least Cost Routing) and carrier rate decks.
Voice Traffic & Translation experience, including LERG updates and deployments.
Good knowledge of Networking: TCP/IP, SFTP, DHCP, LAN, WAN, MPLS, Cisco routers, switches/firewalls.
Knowledge/experience with VMware, Amazon Cloud Connect, cloud-based call center, and MS SQL is a plus.
Provide Tier 4 technical support for enterprise customer networks, including troubleshooting voice, video, and data (IP) traffic.
Qualifications
7+ years in a Voice Engineer role or equivalent
Bachelor’s Degree
Onsite in the Holmdel, NJ Office
VoIP protocols such as SIP, H.323, MGCP, RTP, codecs knowledge and troubleshooting experience
Experience developing and executing test plans to evaluate new VoIP network elements, capabilities, or services
Strong/extensive experience with ACME/Oracle SBC, BroadSoft BroadWorks
Experience in methods and best practices in detailed engineering for voice and network development
Salary and Location *The salary range reflected is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The U.S. pay for this position is up to $125,000 annually. Pay varies by work location and may depend on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities of the candidate.
