Manager, Economic Analysis and Transmission Strategy (Hybrid Schedule)
Location: Manchester, NH or Westwood, MA or Hartford, CT.

Overview The goal of this position is to support the clean energy transition in New England by providing analytical, economic, and strategic services that support transmission solutions needed for our customers and the growth of the Eversource electric transmission business.
Essential Functions
Responsible for economic capacity expansion, production cost, and probabilistic modeling analyses of the New England system.
Oversees engineers and consultants who may be retained to perform technical analysis.
Develop analytical products, visualizations, research, and advocacy materials to support policy recommendations and outreach.
Provides subject‑matter expertise and oversight of cross‑functional analyses including engineering power flow, economic capacity expansion, production cost, and probabilistic modeling analyses.
Supports bid development including drafting applications for local, regional, or national funding opportunities.
Maintains regular cross‑functional engagement with senior management.
Interacts significantly with project partners and other third parties and applies creative problem‑solving skills.
Manages, coaches, develops, and reviews performance of engineers, analysts, and other staff.
Researches and analyzes relevant policies and studies that impact the growth of Eversource’s transmission business and modeling assumptions.
Supports other groups within Eversource by providing data, simulation outputs, or relevant knowledge from the transmission business.
Serves as subject‑matter expert for the state procurement evaluation team on transmission network and interconnection‑related issues.
Scrutinizes technical reports related to the operational and economic impact of clean energy resources on the electric transmission and distribution systems in New England.
May serve as an expert witness in state regulatory proceedings.
Technical Knowledge, Skills & Education
Experience with electric production cost modeling tools such as PLEXOS, Gridview, PROMOD, or similar software.
Knowledge of power system analysis software such as PSS/E, TARA, Powerworld, ASPEN Oneliner, etc.
Knowledge of major ongoing clean energy policy activities that impact Eversource’s transmission business (e.g., Connecticut and Massachusetts state‑mandated clean energy procurements, FERC interconnection and transmission planning reforms).
Strong understanding of regulatory, legislative, and industry trends in the energy sector and utility operations.
Demonstrated ability to work across functional and organizational boundaries.
Strong communication skills.
Familiarity with concepts related to electric transmission and emerging utility technologies (distributed energy, grid modernization, storage, etc.).
Knowledge and experience with ISO/RTO processes and FERC open access transmission tariffs.
Proficiency in technical writing, editing, planning, evaluating, interpreting, organizing, consulting, analyzing, designing, documenting, specifying, coordinating, implementing, and presenting.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Operations Management, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience: Ten (10) to twelve (12) years of related experience in the electricity industry.
Licenses & Certifications: Motor vehicle license.
Working Conditions
Must be available for emergency restoration assignments as required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
Must be available for occasional travel outside of the service area (e.g., Washington, DC).

Compensation and Benefits Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Salary is commensurate with your experience. This position is eligible for a potential incentive. The annual salary range for this position is $149,250.00–$165,830.00.
