Under general supervision, this position will assist physician/provider with all general medicine or specialized medical practice duties as a Medical Assistant within the scope of practice. As the limited X-ray technician perform diagnostic x-rays within their licensure for patients of all ages and assumes responsibility for accuracy under the direction of the radiologist; works effectively with patients and other clinic personnel. The limited x-ray technician is also responsible for all duties relating to the darkroom. Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school Diploma or GED Required Graduate of a State recognized vocational School Requires 2+ years of experience as a Back Office Medical Assistant/Limited X-Ray Tech in an ambulatory care facility or medical group practice Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Windows Knowledge/experience with GE RIS and PACS For HUC to Advance to Level II Hoag Urgent Care: Must have 8 years medical assistant and imaging experience Preferred
Associate or Bachelors’ degree in healthcare-related field Working Knowledge of EPIC or other Electronic Medical Record system ‘EMR’ Qualified bilingual or multilingual candidates Certifications Required
Certificate of completion from an accredited limited radiology program, including digital training LXT – Limited Permit Radiation Technologist - X-Ray Permit in torso, extremity, chest and digital imaging or Radiology Technician – Diagnostic MA Certificate Current BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA) About Us
