As a Lead Software Engineer-GoLang at JPMorganChase within Corporate and Investment Banking's Digital Enablement team, you are an integral part of a Digital Resiliency team that works to enhance our resiliency and stability posture across our market-leading technology products. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for delivering critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Build and deliver software solutions, including being involved in the design, development, technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Hands‑on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, code reviews, and operational stability
Established proficiency in Golang with experience in delivering production applications and/or CLI tooling used by operations teams to manage production software
Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods, with experience in deploying and executing automations in production environments
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
Practical cloud native experience with Kubernetes, including deploying and running applications in a production environment at scale
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Proficiency with service mesh networking (Envoy, Istio)
Proficiency using OpenTelemetry in complex environments
