TEKsystems is partnering with a client in Redmond, WA to hire a Network Development Engineer.

Overview We’re looking for an experienced network engineer to support site builds, network configuration, and continuous process improvements. This role involves hands‑on work with network hardware, automation scripting, and cloud networking.

Key Responsibilities

Update code packages and perform code reviews

Run scripts to generate network configurations

Apply configurations at lab sites

Troubleshoot network issues and ensure operational excellence

Participate in on‑call rotation (including nights/weekends)

Drive process improvements and maintain high availability standards

Required Qualifications

5+ years of industry experience

Strong IP networking fundamentals (IPv4/IPv6)

Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)

Experience with Cisco and Juniper platforms

Solid troubleshooting and network analysis skills

Familiarity with LAN/WAN, VPN, MPLS, firewalls, DNS, DHCP

2+ years working with Linux/Unix

1+ year scripting experience (Python, Perl, Bash)

Experience with AWS networking and Terraform/CDK

Ability to work flexible hours and travel to lab sites

Preferred Skills

Network automation experience

Cloud networking knowledge

Strong understanding of APIs and packet forwarding architectures

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
