SALARY $131,200 - $155,800, bonus and long-term incentive eligible

ROLE SUMMARY The Director, Retail Sales - Kroger East (RSD), role is scoped to lead sales for the Anheuser-Busch business covering Kroger Delta, Nashville, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, and Harris Teeter Divisions. This role also manages 3 Key Account Managers. Their primary focus is leveraging the national AB Kroger sales strategy and selling in initiatives and strategies at the Divisional level to further the AB business. This role also works closely with the Category Manager, Craft, and Beyond Beer Sales teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and build ABI share, sales, and profitability across our portfolio of brands in multiple national and regional off-premise chain accounts
Provide total account management including selling in assortment and programming, developing short- and long-term strategies for each retailer, monitoring performance and execution, and communicating with region and wholesaler teams
Utilize sales tools (IRI, Hero, IDIG, PowerBI, etc.) for information-based selling, programming development, determine resource allocation, and monitor account performance
Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple aspects of the organization (category management, revenue management, eCommerce, field sales, shopper marketing) to ensure proper development and execution of strategies and to create benchmarks to measure success
Support and motivate region key account managers with a focus on setting performance expectations and standards, providing direction on account opportunities, and developing wholesaler relationships and focus
Develop and lead monthly sales performance reviews and annual account planning with cross-functional teams
Proactively uncover opportunities and learn across the organization for personal and professional development
Manage accounts within an established budget
Travel required (up to 60%)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree preferred (emphasis in Business, Sales, and/or Marketing is strongly desired)
High School Diploma or GED required
Comprehensive knowledge of retail and wholesale operations (including Category Management, information-based selling, joint business planning, and profitability)
Advanced computer software proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Internet)
High-level of expertise in analyzing information and making information-based recommendations
Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software and measures is preferred
Ability to motivate and coach teammates to foster engagement
Effective and influential communication, including presenting
Thorough follow-up, administrative, and organizational skills
Field and retail sales experience in the beverage industry or other consumer products industries
Understanding of ABI wholesaler network/processes and Wholesaler Equity Agreement
Ability to work and drive positive results in a fast-paced, team environment
