Sr. VB.Net Developer – Wisemen Multimedia, LLC
80% Remote – Candidate must live within 2 hours of a government facility.
Compensation $130,000 – $150,000 annually.
Overview
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must pass Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) / Medium‑Risk federal agency security clearance.
Data is collected daily from multiple sources with various data types, totaling approximately 15 TB with a weekly growth of 30‑40 GB.
The ideal candidate supports software development within a complex enterprise environment using ASP.NET and VB.NET, delivering accurate solutions across multiple simultaneous projects.

Responsibilities
Develop and support web applications per client requests.
Understand and apply comprehensive Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.
Tailor corporate‑level SDLC to match customer SDLC.
Write scalable, modular, and reusable VB.NET code.
Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain code and web pages from scratch using VB.NET and .NET Framework components.
Use Team Foundation Server (TFS) to track development tasks.
Adhere to coding requirements and guidelines.
Use IBM Engineering Workforce Management (EWM) for code versioning.
Participate in code and application peer reviews.
Gather and document business requirements for web applications.
Support the design, development, and deployment of a modernized website.
Actively participate in daily Kanban meetings.
Identify, analyze, and resolve issues with the web application.
Create software solutions that meet client requirements using the .NET Framework.
Collaborate with SQL developers, development team, and business analysts to ensure all business requirements are met.
Conduct extensive application testing to ensure defect‑free products.
Participate in all stages of the SDLC: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
Prepare configuration documents, test plans, and additional documentation as needed.
Qualifications / Skills
10+ years of experience with Microsoft Visual Studio in an enterprise environment.
10+ years of experience using .NET and/or .NET Core (VB.NET preferred).
Knowledge of front‑end components: HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, XML, etc.
Comprehensive knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Ability to conform to current processes and procedures.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve unknown issues.
Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
Ability to follow directions to meet client goals.
Ability to adapt to new environments and assimilate information quickly.
Independent and collaborative work on multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
Knowledge of SQL Server or a similar relational database (plus).
Knowledge of Classic ASP (plus).
Knowledge of Business Intelligence software (plus).
