Position Overview Join MPC’s Audit Assurance and Advisory Services Organization as a Lead IT Auditor located at either the Findlay, OH or San Antonio, TX office. You will audit and evaluate the integrity, security, and efficiency of our information systems using Agile methodologies and work with diverse departments to reinforce regulatory compliance and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Participate as a staff or lead auditor to perform IT audits of MPC’s and MPLX’s business activities in accordance with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.

Perform risk‑based integrated audit procedures on scheduled audit projects and develop audit plans that incorporate all sub‑processes.

Provide advisory recommendations to management on internal control design for new computer applications, systems, and infrastructure changes.

Recommend policies, procedures, and guidelines for new systems before publication.

Maintain relationships with IT organization at multiple levels, align audit team with IT strategy, and identify value‑added projects.

Coach and guide audit staff, providing technical expertise and professional growth.

Develop and deliver presentations to staff, management and/or the business.

Lead special reviews/projects such as system conversions, migrations, and reengineering initiatives.

Assist in the preparation of formal reports and presentations for the Audit Committee and senior & executive management.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, MIS, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Professional certification required (or to be obtained within 2 years): CIA, CISA, CISSP, CPA, or similar.

10–15 years of IT audit, information systems, or business experience with a strong technology background.

Familiarity with Agile concepts preferred.

Continuous improvement mindset.

Strong background in operational technology, cloud security, cybersecurity, AI, or other emerging technologies is preferred.

Travel 10–15 %.
