About the Role Join FactSet's Trading Sales group as an experienced Sales Specialist and drive sales of our trading solutions with a focus on enhancing existing accounts and acquiring new clients. You will increase FactSet’s visibility in the buy‑side trading landscape across institutional asset managers, wealth managers, and hedge funds by leveraging your network and track record.
Responsibilities
Become a subject matter expert (SME) in workflows centered around these product lines:
FactSet’s LiquidityBook OMS, inclusive of compliance and EMS capabilities.
FactSet’s FIX network.
FactSet’s LiquidityBook IBOR, Shadow NAV, and accounting capabilities.
FactSet’s integrated offering for research, data, and analytics.
Work through sales cycles with hedge funds, institutional asset managers, and wealth managers, including:
Sourcing and qualifying new leads.
Leading in‑depth demos.
Executing evaluations and proof of concepts (POCs).
Handling deal negotiations to achieve optimal outcomes for FactSet.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders on deal structures and close strategies.
Providing guidance on workflow implementation and ASV retention.
Build strong rapport with key client decision‑makers.
Educate non‑SME sales generalists about our toolset.
Share best practices within the FactSet sales organization.
Collaborate with Product Development/Strategy teams.
Engage in continuous territory development and growth.
Represent FactSet at industry conferences and symposiums.
Mentor team members.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience, with at least 6 years in a high‑paced sales environment focused on trading platforms and services.
Ability to build relationships with FactSet executives and CXOs of clients and prospects.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to inspire confidence and maintain composure in stressful situations.
Broad and up‑to‑date knowledge of the financial technology industry including trends and market demands.
Entrepreneurial spirit and strong sense of initiative.
Strong focus on capturing industry trends and competitor landscape.
Solid negotiation skills for mutually beneficial solutions while maximizing revenue.
Experience with trading solutions.
Willingness to travel.
Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
Job Location San Francisco or Los Angeles

Salary The budgeted amount range for this position in California is $120,000 – $150,000.
