Job Description PCI is seeking an experienced
Drywall Estimator
for its
PCI San Diego 571
operations based in
San Diego, CA .
Job Responsibilities
Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects
Establish labor productivities for estimate
Maintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing
Solicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self‑performing group
Understand the market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work, and other factors for establishing margin percentages
Involvement in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teams
Participate in customer alignment objectives by creating and maintaining positive customer relations
Contract administration for secured projects
Utilize wage and benefit schedules
Hand off secured projects to the Operations team
Assist in other duties such as change order management or billings depending on the project(s)
Support other members of the Estimating team for product line collaboration
Salary range:
$84,000 – $111,000 annual salary plus non‑guaranteed annualized bonus program.
This position is safety‑sensitive.
Basic Requirements
At least 3 years of experience estimating construction projects
Experience with estimating/project management/managing drywall scopes of construction
Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work
Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High level of attention to detail and cost analysis
Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work
Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On‑Screen Takeoff and Quickbid
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline
Local to San Diego metro area
