Kenilworth Public Schools is seeking a Principal to lead David Brearley High School for the 2025-2026 school year. Anticipated Position
Tenure Track – 12-Month Position Anticipated Start Date: April 16, 2026 Reports to: Superintendent of Schools Terms of Employment
12-month position. Competitive annual salary and benefits package. Salary range starting at $143,000 based on experience; terms per collective bargaining agreement. The employee is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid sick and personal leave accruals, and enrollment in the New Jersey Teachers' Pension and Annuity Fund (TPAF) or the Public Employees’ Retirement System. The position is eligible for additional compensation in the form of stipends or tuition reimbursement based on district policy. Qualifications
A Master’s Degree from an accredited or approved institution. Valid NJDOE Certification as a Principal. At least five years of successful experience teaching. Knowledge/experience with secondary school programs. At least three years of successful experience as a supervisor or building administrator. Must be an instructional leader. Possesses outstanding communication skills. Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status. Must meet NJ Residency requirements per the New Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70). Attitude and Value System

A commitment to outreaching and partnering with parents and community. Conflict resolution skills necessary to mediate challenging situations.
