Primary Responsibilities Include
Serve as a key contributor to the development of data ; collaborate with stakeholders to determine solution requirements.
Actively participate in/Lead design sessions and, where applicable, apply industry best practices.
Collaborate with technical colleagues, such as Architecture & Engineering colleagues and software engineers, to determine and translate user requirements into actionable data delivery.
Produce data patterns, solution design documents and create Architecture as Code in alignment with business objectives.
Develop mechanisms, applications and processes that continuously harvest big data i.e. systems architectures, programming, database design, database configuration, interface configuration, sensor configuration, etc.
Create comparative analyses of data stores and information flow within the organization; identify areas of friction, lag or compromised data integrity.
Review and manage the user interfaces of data flow mechanisms.
Produce data models in alignment with business objectives.
Perform Proof of Concepts (POCs) on new use cases, emerging technologies, and innovative data solutions.
Mentor and upskill engineering talent, fostering best practices and technical excellence across the team.
Demonstrate strong experience with integrations involved in data applications in cloud, ensuring seamless connectivity across platforms and services.
Drive adoption of modern data architectures and integrations across applications.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, statistics or related field discipline.
8+ years of working experience in data engineering; experience managing engineers and/or technical personnel.
Experience handling big data, building big data solutions using cloud platforms, streaming and API based solutions.
Experience in Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, PIG, Hbase, Hiveql, etc.).
Experience with ETL/ELT tools i.e. DataStage, Informatica, Sqoop, building/enhancing Inhouse ETL frameworks, etc.
Experience with the following technologies: Relational and Cloud Databases (Oracle, MS-SQL, Snowflake, Amazon RedShift, Postgres, etc.), Python, Java, Spark, Scala, Shell scripting, SQL, PL/SQL, etc., SCM tools such as Bitbucket with Jira, Starteam or SVN, AWS native series such as S3, RDS, Glu, Athena, Airflow etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Computer Science, statistics or related field discipline.
Big Data Tech/AWS/Agile Certifications.
Experience working in the financial services industry; understanding of the role of consumer and commercial banking.
Experience working with machine learning technologies and/or AI.
Experience with Tableau, Cognos or SAS.
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
The salary range for this position is $122,400 - $183,600 per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
