Claims Specialist - Management Liability

About the Role This position is part of the Management Liability team handling claims in various financial lines including Directors & Officers, Private D&O, Private Equity, and Insurance Company Professional Liability.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with team to investigate, analyze, and evaluate Third Party Liability claims ensuring proper coverage determinations.
Determine appropriate valuation of complex claims, recommend settlement strategies, and adhere to company policies.
Collaborate with insureds, brokers and partners effectively, traveling for mediations, trials, and stakeholder meetings.
Escalate coverage concerns to internal teams and external coverage attorneys when necessary.
Develop claims and litigation strategies, delegate tasks, and oversee work of external legal advisors.
Assist with underwriting inquiries, analyze claim trends, perform data analysis and risk assessments.
Keep precise records of claim activities and promptly update systems.
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate.
Experience as a litigator or litigation manager, well‑versed in dispute resolution.
Strong organizational skills and ability to solve problems effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to operate efficiently in a high‑visibility, deadline‑driven environment.
Ability to write coverage letters independently with precision and accuracy.
Open to discuss how individual knowledge may lend themselves to the role.
Role Factors
Travel is associated with this role.
Required in‑office presence 3 days per week.
Must comply with AXIS licensing requirements.
Compensation Base salary range: $73,000 - $146,000. Competitive target incentive compensation and awards based on corporate and individual performance.
