Requirements

Must have:

3–7 years of experience in systems administration and software/application development.

Strong expertise in Salesforce administration and development, including Flows and Apex.

Proficient in Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and standard IT infrastructure.

Solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

Experience in building automations, integrations, or custom applications.

Strong analytical, documentation, and process-design capabilities.

Preferred:

Salesforce certifications (Admin, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer).

Experience with APIs, webhooks, and integration platforms (Mulesoft, Boomi, Zapier, etc.).

Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

Salesforce Development & Process Automation (Primary Focus):

I design, develop, and maintain Salesforce functionalities, including Flows, Apex, custom objects, and automations.

I create scalable business processes that support operations, logistics, finance, and customer service teams.

I build integrations between Salesforce and external platforms such as email systems, ERP, and dashboards.

I develop custom reports, dashboards, and data models to enhance visibility and informed decision‑making.

I lead requirement‑gathering sessions with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.

I ensure data integrity while enforcing governance, security, and best practices within Salesforce.

IT Systems Administration & Infrastructure Support:

I administer and maintain company networks, firewalls, switches, Wi‑Fi, VPN, and server infrastructure.

I manage and support Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Azure AD, Teams/Zoom Phone, and other SaaS applications.

I oversee endpoint devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and security camera systems.

I perform system backups, patch management, monitoring, and disaster recovery readiness.

I maintain IT documentation, asset tracking, and equipment lifecycle processes.

I provide Tier 2/3 technical support and troubleshoot escalated issues across multiple locations.

Automation, Scripting & Integration Development:

I build scripts, tools, and automations using programming languages like Python and PowerShell to reduce manual tasks.

I develop internal applications that enhance productivity and data accuracy.

I optimize workflows by identifying bottlenecks and creating automated solutions.

Security & Compliance:

I implement and enforce IT security controls such as MFA, conditional access, endpoint protection, and user access policies.

I monitor systems for vulnerabilities and compliance with company standards.

I conduct periodic audits of permissions and system configurations.

Cross‑Department Collaboration:

I partner with leadership and department heads to address operational challenges and build technology‑driven solutions.

I clearly communicate complex technical concepts in a business-friendly manner.

I train users and create documentation for new tools, processes, and system enhancements.

Company We are a mid‑size company, Equipment Assets, with 20–30 office staff and 80–100 production staff across five facilities in the Metro Detroit area. Our main site functions as the hub, while the other sites serve as satellite locations with minimal IT infrastructure. This full‑time role offers a salary ranging from $110,000 to $150,000 annually, along with benefits including a 401(k), dental and health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance. The position requires in‑person work.
