As a Food Service Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high‑quality food services that meet resident nutritional needs. Your responsibilities include managing day‑to‑day operations, budgeting, menu development, staff supervision, compliance with regulations, collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, quality control, cleanliness, and budget management. Responsibilities
Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the food service department, including planning, budgeting, and implementing food service programs. Develop and maintain menus that meet dietary needs of residents, including those with special dietary requirements. Supervise and train a team of dietary staff, including cooks, servers, and dietary assistants. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure that nutritional needs are met and adjusted as needed. Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that food is prepared and served in a safe and clean environment. Implement and maintain a cleanliness and sanitation program for the food service department. Monitor and manage food and supply budgets to ensure efficiency and cost‑effectiveness. Requirements
2+ years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
