Litigation Attorney

Human Resources and Professional Recruiting Manager at Richards, Watson & Gershon Richards, Watson & Gershon (“RWG”) invites candidates with 5+ years of litigation experience, including trial experience, to apply for a position representing public agencies, primarily as part of our Litigation Department. RWG is a 71‑year‑old law firm and a leader in public agency law. We seek candidates with litigation experience including bench or jury trials, writing and arguing dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions, and preparing and responding to written discovery. RWG litigators work on some of the most complex and important issues affecting Californians today, including CEQA, municipal code enforcement, water rights, constitutional and civil rights issues, and labor and employment.

Responsibilities & Experience

Represent public agencies in trial and non‑trial matters.

Write and argue dispositive motions.

Take and defend depositions.

Prepare and respond to written discovery.

Handle cases involving CEQA, municipal code enforcement, water rights, constitutional and civil rights, and labor & employment.

Qualifications

5+ years of litigation experience, including trial experience.

Excellent academic credentials.

California Bar membership.

Superior research and writing skills.

Commitment to professional excellence.

Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level

Employment Type Full‑time

Compensation Salary range: $147,800 – $195,000 per year. Compensation will also consider experience, litigation skill set, and business origination.
