100% Remote Insurance Defense Trial Attorney Remote position with a nationally recognized insurance carrier building out its California claims team.

Base pay range $145,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr

Job Details Ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling insurance defense litigation, particularly in trial settings, strong litigation expertise, comprehensive knowledge of California laws, and excellent trial advocacy skills.

Key Responsibilities

Represent the company in insurance defense litigation, including conducting trials, hearings, depositions, and motion practice.

Develop and implement defense strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Handle complex cases involving personal injury, property damage, and other claims covered under insurance policies.

Collaborate with claims professionals, insureds, and experts to assess legal strategies and ensure optimal defense.

Manage all aspects of trial preparation, including discovery, legal research, and drafting of pleadings and motions.

Provide legal advice and risk assessments to internal stakeholders regarding potential litigation and trial exposure.

Qualifications

Must be a member in good standing with the California State Bar.

Minimum 10 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, including trial experience.

Extensive knowledge of California civil procedure, insurance law, and relevant case law.

Strong courtroom presence and ability to argue cases effectively in front of a jury.

Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.

Ability to manage a caseload independently and work collaboratively within a team.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and other legal professionals.
