About the Client Our client is one of the world’s most recognized food and beverage producers, known for its iconic global brands and commitment to quality.
Role: Senior Data Scientist We are seeking a hands‑on data science leader with exceptional communication skills to drive machine learning and analytics initiatives in supply chain and route management. This role combines technical depth with business fluency to deliver high‑impact insights in a fast‑moving, strategic program.
General information: This position leads a cross‑functional team within a transformation program focused on cost efficiency and service quality. The team works closely with business stakeholders to solve complex logistics challenges using data science and AI. With the project in active build, the role offers significant influence over how advanced analytics inform operational decisions. Candidates must excel at translating technical solutions into compelling business narratives and be comfortable working directly with executive and operational teams. This role is hybrid, requiring the ability to work onsite near Dallas every other week and maintain close collaboration with teams operating in Central Standard Time (CST).
Task and deliverables
Lead and communicate the end‑to‑end development of machine learning solutions for logistics optimization
Translate ambiguous business questions into structured data science projects with clear objectives and success criteria
Deliver articulate, actionable insights through presentations, dashboards, and written documentation tailored to executive and operational audiences
Guide the modeling lifecycle—from prototyping through deployment—ensuring technical integrity and business relevance
Collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to operationalize analytics and drive adoption
Coach and support team members in both technical execution and effective stakeholder engagement
Required experience
Required:
Demonstrated leadership in applied machine learning or AI projects with real‑world impact
Required:
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to simplify technical topics for business stakeholders and influence decisions
Required:
Strategic mindset with the ability to align analytics work with business priorities and operational workflows
Nice to have:
Experience in supply chain, logistics, or route optimization domains
Nice to have:
Proficiency with tools such as demand forecasting, geospatial modeling, or network optimization
Location:
Hybrid in Plano, Texas, United States
Overlap:
We have two teams available, one will overlap with CST, the second with CET
