We are seeking a Senior Manager, Category Management to join our Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) Team. As a Senior Manager, Category Management, you will be responsible for the holistic relationship between Capital One and key third parties, enabling a well‑managed and adaptable supply chain. You will work closely with internal team members, establishing and maintaining relationships with business customers, account teams, and assigned suppliers. This role is essential in delivering key cost, risk, and performance management‑related efforts for third‑party relationships, in addition to identifying strategic opportunities for growth and greater return on investment.

Key Responsibilities
Negotiation: Partner to negotiate contracts and deals for a fast paced, motivated business group within Capital One.
Problem Solving & Strategy Advice: Provide problem‑solving and innovative ideas to support internal customers; identify value‑generating opportunities (e.g., savings, efficiencies, or revenue growth).
Relationship Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for third parties and manage effective governance between Capital One and assigned third parties.
Collaboration: Build strong internal relationships with key stakeholders to create alignment on business strategy and foster the ability to move quickly on desired business outcomes.
Risk Management: Monitor and ensure successful delivery against third‑party contractual obligations; partner with internal risk groups to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
Process Management: Accountable for policy requirements for all managed third‑party relationships; plan and lead periodic reviews and assessments of supplier relationships.
Supplier Sourcing: Maintain awareness of external marketplace as it relates to your suppliers and perform sourcing activities where appropriate.
Coaching and Mentoring: As a people manager, coach and mentor to develop less seasoned and experienced Supplier Managers in their development.
Basic Qualifications
At least 4 years of experience in Supplier Management.
At least 3 years of experience in Contract Management or Deal Negotiation.
At least 2 years of experience in Risk or Relationship Management.
At least 3 years of experience with people leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Relationship Management or Procurement.
3+ years of experience in Risk Management.
5+ years of experience in Contract Management or Deal Negotiation.
3+ years of experience in Operations, Process or Project Management.

The minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role vary by location. This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
