Senior Project Manager

Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of engineered façade and glazing system projects—from preconstruction planning through procurement, fabrication, installation, and close-out. This role requires deep industry expertise, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to lead complex projects while managing budgets, schedules, engineering deliverables, and purchasing activities for custom façade components. The Senior PM will serve as the primary liaison among clients, design partners, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful execution of all enclosure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all phases of façade/glazing projects, including design coordination, engineering, procurement, fabrication oversight, installation planning, and project closeout.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality and performance specifications.
Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and system requirements for engineered glass and façade systems.
Develop detailed project schedules, benchmarks, and risk-management plans.
Engineering & Technical Coordination
Oversee engineering and drafting resources (internal or external) to ensure timely and accurate shop drawings, calculations, and test data.
Coordinate structural, thermal, and performance requirements for advanced glazing systems, curtain wall, and custom façade assemblies.
Facilitate design reviews, mock-up testing, and material submittal approvals.
Lead the purchasing of engineered façade and glass systems, including curtain wall, insulated glazing units, hardware, sealants, metals, and related components.
Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate pricing, and award contracts.
Manage procurement schedules, fabrication timelines, and delivery logistics.
Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers, fabricators, and specialty suppliers.
Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and change order management.
Review contracts, scope documents, and commercial terms; ensure contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare monthly financial reporting and revenue projections.
Client, GC, and Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and general contractors.
Lead progress meetings, coordinate issue resolution, and maintain strong working relationships with all project stakeholders.
Provide clear communication around schedule impacts, technical issues, and project risks.
Field Coordination & Quality Assurance
Support field teams with installation planning, coordination, and problem solving.
Monitor adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and system performance criteria.
Conduct site visits to ensure accurate installation and alignment with engineered design.
Qualifications
10+ years of project management experience in the glazing, façade, curtain wall, or building-enclosure industry.
Strong understanding of engineered façade systems, including glass types, framing systems, anchorage, waterproofing, and fabrication processes.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
