to join our engineering team located in Everett, WA. This position is critical to developing and certifying safe, reliable, and innovative aircraft. The Software Certification Engineer will play a vital role in fostering a culture of safety and excellence, making significant contributions to the certification process that underpins the trust of our customers and the flying public.

Position Responsibilities
Design, develop, analyze, and maintain software systems that meet industry, customer, and internal quality, safety, security and certification standards.
Partner with stakeholders to translate system-level requirements into software requirements and models that meet customer, operational needs, performance requirements and have clear traceability.
Oversee the preparation and submission of comprehensive technical documentation required for FAA certification.
Complete software system-level analyses to identify risks, issues and opportunities; integrate and deploy mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle.
Perform code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards.
Monitor and review test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution for software systems.
Develop user documentation and training to educate end users about usage of software products.
Review product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards by tracking and evaluating internal team and supplier performance.
Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development.
Perform software project management and software supplier management activities.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
2+ years of experience in software engineering.
2+ years of experience with software development using Java, C++ or Python.
1+ years of experience in RTCA DO-178(B/C) Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience leading activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
Knowledge of compliance regulations (e.g., ISO, FAA, JAA, ICAO, ITAR).
Travel 10% travel.
