Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
Source, evaluate, and manage a diverse portfolio of suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material availability and quality standards are met.
Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and supply chain risks to inform purchasing decisions.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and supplier relationships.
Manage inventory levels in conjunction with production planning to ensure optimal stock and minimize waste.
Recommended Qualifications
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiation, and contract management.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production planning.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced data analysis tools.
Bonus Qualifications
Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Experience with global sourcing and international logistics.
Proficiency in advanced data analytics tools for spend analysis (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Professional certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
