Job Summary:

This Senior Engineering role plans and leads complex conveyor and automation projects from concept through implementation. The engineer coordinates design, procurement, budgeting, scheduling, and client engagement, ensuring projects meet technical standards and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Lead projects during Operations Design, Integrated Detail Design, and Implementation phases, including RFP, supplier selection, and design documentation.

Own project budgets, schedules, status reporting, and resource planning; present weekly updates to stakeholders.

Develop detailed conveying designs, calculate point loads, and prepare installation drawing packages.

Conduct site visits, validate dimensions, and support installation and commissioning activities.

Drive continuous improvement of engineering practices, SOPs, and lessons‑learned documentation.

Travel as required (10‑20%) for project support and client visits.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

5+ years of AutoCAD experience; Microsoft Office proficiency.

Leadership of design review sessions and client presentations.

Strong communication, project management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Ability to manage multiple suppliers and project budgets.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (passport required).

Experience with material‑handling equipment, DC design tools (DCconceptor/DCdesigner), and automation systems.

Remote work capability and self‑motivation.

Ability to meet essential job functions and perform required physical tasks.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 10 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

Consulting or operations experience in supply‑chain logistics.

Project management certification or experience.

Advanced AutoCAD 3D skills and familiarity with DCconceptor/DCdesigner.

Physical Requirements:

Typical office duties plus travel to client sites requiring standing, walking, and occasional exposure to heavy equipment.

Base Salary Range:

$87,600 to $131,100, variable by location, level, and experience.

Travel Requirements:

10‑20% travel to job sites, trade shows, and offices.
