Responsibilities
Operate and maintain Tier 0–3 RCS testing/inspection tools for signature characterization and diagnostics.
Design, plan, and execute RCS/RF tests, including determining requirements, methods, equipment selection, test setup, and reporting.
Analyze system and component test results; collaborate with survivability personnel to assess compliance with signature requirements, evaluate trade‑offs, and recommend materials, composites, and survivability enhancements.
Present risks, opportunities, and plans to customers and NGAS leadership.
Manage vendors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with program support requirements.
Integrate and test new hardware and software tailored to program needs.
Coordinate internally with global supply chain, facility, IT, and security teams.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 8+ years of engineering experience, or Master’s degree and 6+ years.
Minimum 3 years supporting U.S. Government contracts and/or project management in other industries.
Active DoD Top Secret (or higher) clearance within 5 years of last investigation.
Ability to obtain and maintain a special access program clearance.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
MS degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, materials science, chemical engineering, physics, chemistry, computer science, or applied mathematics from an ABET‑accredited university.
Experience using Tier 1–3 diagnostics systems to assess RCS performance.
Proficiency in RF testing at an indoor RCS/RF test facility.
Strong interpersonal communication and technical writing skills for collaboration with multi‑disciplinary teams and customers.
Background in applied electromagnetics and/or aircraft survivability, or comprehensive understanding of electromagnetic energy transmission through space and within materials.
Knowledge of low observables and RCS performance.
Proficiency in test development, execution, and analysis.
Experience working with internal support organizations such as global supply chain, facility, and security.
Demonstrated success building customer intimacy.
Current active U.S. Government in‑scope DoD Top Secret clearance.
Primary Level Salary Range:
$129,700.00 – $194,500.00
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Vice‑President or Director roles may be eligible for long‑term incentives. Northrop Grumman also provides health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off.
