About the Role As part of the Intelligent Cockpit Ready Vision Team, you will be a part of developing the next generation product roadmap of Harman cockpit electronics with a strong focus on the latest implementations of display technologies - such as AR HUD and pillar-to-pillar displays.

What You Will Do

Hardware/electrical design for the product to meet development schedule and quality through the whole product life cycle

Responsible for realization of electronic system designs and schematics

Analyze customer requirements to understand and determine appropriate circuit implementations

Work with PCB layout engineers to implement optimized PCB layouts in compliance with EMC & manufacturing design rules while meeting mechanical packaging requirements

Design, simulate and verify the electrical circuits and determine the performance characteristics using SPICE, Hyperlynx, ANSYS, and/or other engineering tools

Plan and implement HW verification during product development, to ensure the electrical design meets specifications and requirements, by recording and analyzing test data

Manage and release the electrical BOMs

Support failure analysis, investigation, and resolve of EMC issues in testing

Support the development and review of the environmental and EMC hardware validation test plans with the validation engineers

Support the manufacturing team related to DFM and test reviews and technical build issues

Lead electronic design reviews with the internal cross‑functional teams

Support the development and review of DFMEAs and FuSa work products

Mentor & guide junior engineering talent with technical expertise

Follow current hardware development process and contribute to process improvement

Support departmental initiatives and activities as directed by the department supervisor

What You Need

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

10+ years of experience in the field of automotive electronics engineering, or a related field

Hands‑on experience with electrical schematic such as Mentor Graphics, OrCAD, Cadence, or similar

Strong understanding of PCB layout concepts and best practices

Familiarity with electrical simulation tools is preferred, such as ANSYS signal integrity and power integrity, HyperLynx, SPICE, or similar

Familiarity with cockpit electronics related technologies is preferred, such as high‑speed SOCs, DRAM, flash, microcontrollers, CAN, Ethernet, LVDS/oLDI video, SerDes, (GMSL, FPDLink), displays, and linear and switching power supplies

Knowledge of Automotive EMC requirements is preferred, including EMC troubleshooting

Proficient in the use of electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and multimeters

Ability to troubleshoot issues with electronic circuits and perform root cause analysis to determine corrective actions

Ability to analyze and optimize circuits and designs for cost

Ability to perform worst case circuit analysis

Strong documentation and reporting skills

What is Nice to Have

Experience designing cockpit electronics + displays (HUD, Cluster, Infotainment, etc.)

Experience designing projectors using technologies such as DLP, Laser, and TFT

Knowledge of ISO26262, ASPICE, and other related automotive standards

Salary Ranges: $ 120,750 - $ 177,100
