We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Wastewater Engineer with deep expertise in pump station design and wastewater/stormwater hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management experience—including QA/QC oversight, procurement, and detailed design—and excel in building client relationships, developing compelling proposals, and securing project funding. Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of pump stations, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
Design and analyze water/wastewater/stormwater hydraulic systems to meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Oversee project lifecycle from inception to completion, including QA/QC, procurement, and design phases.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Prepare detailed and competitive proposals to secure new projects and funding opportunities.
Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships, to support project initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering; master’s degree a plus.
Project management experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of hydraulics for water and wastewater systems.
Strong understanding of water/wastewater/stormwater hydraulics systems and pump station design.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Massachusetts (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Funding experience with MassDEP, USDA RD, and DPH a plus.
Previous experience using AutoCAD and GIS.
Desire and ability to develop and mentor early career professional staff.
