Area Sales Manager Northeast – Panasonic North America
Overview Panasonic North America is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead sales of building‑products and HVAC solutions in the Northeast region. The role reports to the Regional Sales Manager and manages manufacturer’s representatives, distributors, and key customer relationships to achieve a $7 million–$10 million sales budget.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and achieve revenue and profit targets.
Manage an assigned geographic sales territory to meet annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals.
Coach, appraise and train sales representatives and distributor partners.
Prepare accurate demand forecasts and maintain sales pipelines.
Develop and present sales proposals, promotional plans, and product demonstrations to architects, builders, engineers, and installers.
Maintain clear sales records, submit detailed monthly reports, and manage expense tracking.
Attend trade shows, seminars and field events to generate leads and nurture relationships.
Travel extensively throughout the territory (50–60 % of time) and occasionally overseas as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business or related field.
5+ years of sales experience in building products, HVAC or related field.
Hands‑on technical background in residential HVAC highly desirable.
Strong leadership, time‑management and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM and data‑entry systems.
Located in Greater Boston or New York area; must be willing to travel.
