About the Role
The Associate Creative Executive is a hybrid story editor + screenwriter role. This position focuses on polishing scripts from contract writers, providing creative revisions, and supporting the transition from script to production. Creative Associates may also contribute original writing and story development when needed.
What You’ll Do
Perform targeted dialogue passes, pacing adjustments, and creative rewrites to bring scripts to production‑ready level
Provide creative solutions to story or structure issues raised during development or pre‑production
Represent writers’ creative intent during production and post‑production meetings when needed
Adapt and localize stories from novels, scripts, or other IPs
Contribute original content (e.g., beat sheets, dialogue writing, bridge scenes) when required
Collaborate closely with Development Executives and Creative Executives to align revisions with story direction
Participate in brainstorm sessions and creative planning for future slates
Who You Are
2+ years of experience in script editing, screenwriting, or creative development—experience in serialized or digital‑first storytelling is a plus.
A sharp and flexible storyteller with a strong grasp of pacing, dialogue, and emotional beats.
Comfortable working on revisions under fast turnarounds and tight deadlines.
Collaborative, solutions‑oriented, and able to balance creative vision with production practicality.
Deep interest in genre‑driven storytelling, especially romance, fantasy, thriller, and melodrama, as well as enthusiasm for exploring new narrative formats.
Able to toggle between giving story feedback and executing hands‑on revisions, thriving in a hybrid creative environment.
