Job Overview
As Director of Sales and Marketing for the Kimpton Overland Hotel, you will design and implement strategies to maximize revenue, increase occupancy, and strengthen brand presence across all market segments.
What You’ll Be Doing
Sales Strategy and Management:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan targeting group, corporate, and leisure accounts; lead the team in finding new opportunities and maintaining client relationships.
Revenue Management:
Partner with revenue teams to optimize pricing, manage RevPAR, and adjust strategies based on competitive analysis.
Digital Presence:
Oversee the hotel’s website, social media, and OTAs to ensure accurate information and active promotion.
Market Analysis:
Monitor trends and guest feedback to uncover improvement or innovation opportunities.
Performance Reporting:
Track key metrics, produce regular reports, and collaborate with departments for seamless group events and conventions.
Relationship Building:
Build and nurture relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders; attend conferences and trade shows.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis:
Manage the sales and marketing budget, conduct ROI‑driven financial analyses, and make data‑based decisions.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate a high‑performing team while fostering a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, marketing, or related field.
Proven hotel sales and marketing experience with a record of meeting revenue targets.
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency with hotel management systems, sales tools, and marketing analytics.
In‑depth knowledge of local and regional hospitality markets.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort Physical demands include extended standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Work is mainly in an interior hotel setting.
