Responsibilities

Produce sales gains by providing exceptional customer service.

Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual sales statistics.

Document and appraise associate sales performance and provide feedback on strengths and opportunities.

Adhere to visual merchandising guidelines, signage and store cleanliness.

Assist in preparing store schedules that provide proper coverage and are within wage‑control guidelines.

Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, completing price changes and performing product counts.

Open and close the store following procedures per the Operations P&P Manual.

Support and adhere to all LIDS policies, procedures and guidelines.

Recruit, train and supervise store personnel on proper store operations and procedures.

Encourage associate compliance of company policies, procedures and guidelines, including safekeeping of inventory, funds and property.

Communicate with employees at all levels of the company.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relative experience.

Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate verbally in a clear, professional manner.

Ability to operate a computer and related software programs.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to climb a ladder and work with hands overhead.

Standing required for up to 100% of the work time.

Ability to work unsupervised.

Benefits & Compensation Assistant Store Managers can earn up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience. Exact compensation may vary by skills, experience and location. Assistant Store Managers are eligible for monthly store sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount.
