Base pay range : $125,000/year – $195,000/year

Role

Partner closely with hiring managers and business leaders, bringing a consultative approach to influence hiring decisions, shape strategies, and align recruiting priorities with broader business goals.

Recruit for engineering roles, building strong pipelines and helping technical leaders grow their teams.

Source strong technical talent, experimenting and partnering with hiring managers to reach top candidates and explore creative channels beyond LinkedIn.

Act as a full‑cycle recruiter: sourcing, screening, managing candidates through interviews, and closing.

Assist with developing job posts, hiring plans, and rubrics; work with hiring managers to tighten job descriptions and screen rubrics.

Iterate on candidate feedback, smoothing rough edges in the recruiting process.

Uplevel the recruiting team by sharing best practices and building a culture of continuous improvement.

Build scalable processes that standardize recruiting workflows across the organization.

Emphasize diversity, actively seeking methods to bring new perspectives and encouraging inclusive hiring practices.

Flexibility to work from home or one of our global office hubs. Team members in this role must live within commuting distance of our New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Seattle hub.

You

4+ years of technical recruiting experience in high‑growth startups, specifically supporting engineering teams.

Proven experience evaluating candidates for a range of technical roles and levels.

Comfortable operating as a full‑stack recruiter end‑to‑end.

Strategic partner to hiring managers, building close relationships and providing expert guidance.

Strong sourcer at heart, nurturing relationships with passive talent.

Ability to sell in a competitive market; understand the tech landscape and articulate Whatnot’s value.

Ownership mindset: thrive in fast‑moving environments, manage multiple roles, and be accountable.

Commitment to an incredible candidate experience, prioritizing a human‑centric process.

Data‑focused: measure pipeline health to balance priorities and set hiring manager expectations.
