IBM Consulting is hiring an Associate Threat Intelligence Consultant to join our Threat Intelligence team.

About X-Force The X-Force team comprises world‑renowned security researchers, threat intelligence analysts, and incident response specialists. As an Associate Threat Intelligence Consultant, you will collect, process, analyze, and share cyber threat assessments, ensuring the organization remains informed and prepared for potential cyber threats.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Review dynamic analysis artifacts and execute malware in virtual environments.

Assist incident responders, cyber threat analysts, and reverse engineers in extracting indicators of compromise.

Collect, process, analyze, and share cyber threat/warning assessments following established processes.

Preferred Education Bachelor’s Degree.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Demonstrated leadership and adaptability, willing to take ownership of highly challenging tasks.

Analytical thinking, applying logic to solve problems.

Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.

Initiative to actively seek new knowledge and improve skills.

Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Strong communication skills, conveying complex situations clearly.

Passion for innovative ideas, understanding and assimilating different viewpoints.

Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and reusable or purpose‑built tools.

Proficient programming skills in Java, .Net, Python, or Ruby.

Experience in reverse engineering and using disassemblers or debuggers.

Familiarity with operating system internals (Windows or Linux).

Knowledge of computer networking protocols.

Demonstrated forensic analysis, memory analysis, and/or malware analysis.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Knowledge or experience in Incident Response, Digital Forensics, Tabletop Exercises, Threat Hunting, or Cloud Platforms.

History of published research, blog posts, or presentations at local or regional security conferences.

Knowledge or experience with AI tools in the cybersecurity domain.
