A regional medical center in southern West Virginia is seeking an experienced RN Director of Quality & Risk to lead patient safety, quality improvement, accreditation readiness, and regulatory compliance across the organization. This is a key leadership role supporting clinical excellence, organizational integrity, and a culture of safety. You will guide quality programs, partner with hospital leadership, and ensure best practices are in place for patient care and risk mitigation. What You Will Lead
Oversight of Quality, Performance Improvement, and Risk Management
Patient safety initiatives and hospital-wide safety culture
Regulatory and accreditation readiness (CMS, Joint Commission, state)
Quality data, reporting, and continuous performance improvement
Ethics, compliance, incident review, and risk mitigation processes
Collaboration with nursing, medical staff, and hospital leadership
Development of policies, standards, and quality programs
Monitoring of hospital-acquired conditions and quality indicators
Minimum Requirements
Active West Virginia RN license (or eligibility) Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) Previous Quality experience in a healthcare setting Minimum 5 years of acute care RN experience Preferred Qualifications
CPHRM or CPPS (or willingness to obtain within 2 years)
Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Strong background in risk management or patient safety
