What You’ll Get To Do Currently, PCEC has an immediate opening available for a Senior Product Marketing Manager - Appliance (Microwave oven, small kitchen appliances) for a full time role. This position will serve as a category expert and business manager. Successful candidate will have a proven track record of understanding users and markets, gathering requirements from multiple sources and iterating to design products that deliver value across the value chain. Appliance products are more than just household items—they are life‑changers. They simplify daily routines, spark creativity in the kitchen, and bring families closer together. Responsibilities The ideal candidate will thrive in a cross‑functional and collaborative environment and have a deep understanding of consumer electronics, appliance market, and trends with ideas ready for new products that will change the marketplace.

P&L (Profit & Loss)

Responsible to lead category P&L update with finance in monthly process

Responsible to make necessary negotiation with Japan headquarter & business partners to meet category target

Placement

Establish distribution policy aligned to business

Strategize and execute product placement to maximize business goal

Present the strategy to both internal and external organization members

Develop and negotiate dealer programs across multiple channels

Pricing

Take lead in negotiation with Japan for FOB update

Maintain landed cost file and update on quarterly basis

Maintain marginal profit file based on distribution update

Promotion

Collaborate with sales and marketing to create complimentary promotion strategy in combination of pricing and marketing execution items

Demonstrate knowledge of different vehicles including marketing execution items

Responsible in promotional roadmap announcement and its information integrity

Product

Communicate with Japan and manage new product development from concept through successful launch by working closely with multiple team members

Seek out and apply knowledge of new trends and innovation to identify new products but also opportunities within existing products to improve packaging, retail/online merchandising and other communication vehicles

Expert knowledge of technical product detail

Ability to demonstrate product functions

PSI

Responsible for leading and presenting PSI process

Improve forecast accuracy by facilitating CPFR operation with customersManage both total and aging inventory targets for both PCEC, Panasonic factories and OEM/ODM suppliers

Demonstrate knowledge of PSI tied to promotion strategy

Take ownership of PSI deck preparation

Monitor category performance on weekly basis to ensure sales volume and profit goals are met

Demonstrate knowledge of pre‑PSI process

Reports Management

Responsible for continuous improvement of reporting process using digital tools to automate processes

Admin Tasks

Identify management information needs, manage development of non‑standard reports and statements when requested

Collaborate with Japan business unit to ensure timely delivery of high quality business support

Direct team to submit RFA (Request for Approval), and follow through

Review documented RFAs and track vs budget to ensure completion and in compliance

Other

Ensure accuracy of activity with regards to assigned disciplines for team members

Train and develop staff in key disciplines

Interact with different departments to ensure value of function, and/or opportunities to increase value

Oversee special projects to improve group efficiency, accuracy, and value of reporting

Responsible for managing Business Plan negotiation and completion of internal setup process

Responsible for assisting Mid Term Plan strategy and presentation

Accountable against business measurements vs BP, vs LY and vs KPI goals

Lead & be responsible for PM and marketing team to identify support requirements and execute shows and events

Lead in preparation and manage meeting with presentation

Scope

This position will report directly to Group manager with mentoring support from product manager.

Category lead person to communicate with Japan counterparts

Qualifications What You’ll Bring: Education & Experience

Knowledge in D2C business and operation

Interest and knowledge in appliance product category and industry is a plus

Bachelor's Degree required

6-10 years of experience in consumer electronics industry preferred

Experience in product management, sales and marketing team preferred

Strong MS office skills, Excel and PowerPoint is required

Receptiveness to feedback and a desire to improve, learn and grow

Other Requirements

Ability to travel up to 15% (may include overnight & some international travel)

The wage range of $155,000 - $170,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
