Overview Local Bar. Global Kitchen. Neighborhood Charm. LUC!E Drink + Dine is a locally owned and operated restaurant located in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood next to the legendary Colonnade Hotel. We are now seeking a highly qualified Restaurant F&B Manager to join our team of lively, experienced restaurant professionals. This position will be instrumental in contributing to our fresh, high-quality cuisine and comfortable, upscale restaurant environment. The Food & Beverage Manager supports the General Manager by helping to coordinate the activities of the restaurant, room service, and seasonal pool in a successful path of financials, staffing, and training, while also working in a fully cohesive manner with fellow hotel department heads.
Base Pay Range $60,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Support the Restaurant General Manager by interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, counseling, and documenting staff when necessary for the efficient operation of the outlets.
Institute ongoing training programs to ensure the highest quality service standards are obtained.
Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings, communicating pertinent information such as house count and menu changes.
Schedule, coach, and support staff in their work assignments.
Interact positively with guests, promoting hotel facilities and services, and resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties.
Provide support for the organization of special events in the restaurant.
Maintain positive rapport with all departments and attend relevant meetings.
Visually monitor kitchen and facility areas to ensure food quality and service standards are met; partner with kitchen leadership to provide feedback on product appearance and quality.
Maintain profitability of the outlet to support overall hotel operation by controlling payroll and equipment costs, ensuring par stock levels, calculating inventory, ordering supplies, and stocking shelves.
Utilize computer systems to accurately charge customers, create forecast and revenue reports, and write correspondence.
Qualifications & Experience
3-5 years previous Food & Beverage and management experience.
Proven track record in training and developing staff in service delivery.
Excellent wine knowledge helpful.
Working knowledge of style service.
Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage outlet operations, including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction.
Decent math skills using percentages and proficiency in Excel helpful.
Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written, with guests and employees.
Ability to remain calm and positive under pressure and to resolve problems with patience, tact, and diplomacy.
Self‑starter with a great personality and strong skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods of time and move frequently from area to area.
Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach with hands and arms.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments.
