South Shore Association for Independent Living . General Description: Provide supportive counseling and assistance training individuals diagnosed with mental illness in independent living skills. Promote greater independence in day-to-day activities, personal care, skill building, and community integration. Shift: Mondays–Fridays 7AM–3PM Responsibilities
Participates in planning and evaluation of service plans and monitors objectives. Writes progress notes monthly or as needed. Trains and assists residents in daily living skills. Monitors medication. Provides transportation and accompanies residents to activities. Offers counseling, crisis management, and behavioral interventions. Assists in daily management of the residence. Administers residence in absence of Senior Counselor. Documents emergencies and notifies supervisors as needed. Case management, follow-up, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Competencies
High School Diploma + 5 years human services OR Bachelor's degree. Organizational and communication skills for working with staff, clients, families, and community. Critical Thinking and Judgment Skills required. Physical Demands & Work Conditions
Adheres to HIPAA compliance. Valid driver's license and car with insurance. Completion of mandatory trainings. Fingerprint/background check required.
