Senior UX Designer, AFT – Experience Design
Amazon’s Fulfillment Technologies Experience Design team (AFT‑XD) is looking for a Senior UX Designer to help scale Amazon’s global fulfillment workforce by creating efficient, engaging, and empowering user experiences that enhance safety, productivity, and engagement for over 1 M associates worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in planning of new features, projects, and products; understand business objectives, analyze customer behaviors, identify UX problems and unmet needs.
Create high‑quality design solutions (journey maps, user flows, wireframes, clickable prototypes, high‑fidelity mockups, design specs) that effectively communicate the intended design.
Contribute to user research planning and execution to inform requirements, shape designs, and evaluate final products.
Present design work to peers, product and engineering teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership.
Scope and manage work on assigned initiatives; estimate time and resources; provide regular updates and raise issues when needed.
Contribute to design guidelines and standardization across AFT products and the team’s design system.
Mentor peers and share skills to raise the design bar within AFT and across Amazon.
Champion design thinking within the team and larger AFT organization.
Incorporate customer feedback, metrics, and usability findings into design; perform metrics analysis post‑launch to inform ongoing improvements.
Qualifications
6 + years of UX design experience.
Portfolio available online.
Experience delivering large‑scale, complex design solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience applying Scrum to visual or UX design processes.
Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards.
Experience acquiring user data (usability studies, research) and creating personas and journey maps.
