Position Overview
A client of Insight Global is seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to oversee payroll operations, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, manage staff, and maintain accurate payroll and financial records. This role requires strong technical expertise in payroll systems and compliance with government regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision: Manage payroll staff, schedules, performance evaluations, and training.
Payroll Processing: Ensure accurate and timely paychecks, deductions, tax withholdings, and compliance with statutory updates.
Compliance & Reporting: Prepare W-2s, 1099s, quarterly tax filings, and reconcile payroll with financial systems.
System Oversight: Maintain payroll system functionality, implement process improvements, and ensure legal compliance.
Financial Management: Monitor budgets, control costs, and handle payroll-related accounting adjustments.
Customer Service: Respond to inquiries, resolve payroll issues, and manage voluntary deductions.
Audit & Liaison: Coordinate with IRS, SSA, Department of Labor, retirement systems, and auditors.
Must-Have Qualifications
5+ years of hands‑on payroll experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
Proficiency in Oracle or SAP payroll systems for large organizations.
Prior experience managing payroll for local, state, county, or city government.
Nice to Have
Experience with CGI Advantage payroll system.
Compensation $35/hr to $40/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
