Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is a must; candidates should be able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). Advanced expertise in:

Cisco EIGRP and BGP routing protocols Cisco Catalyst 9000 and Nexus 9000 switches VXLAN EVPN overlays in operational settings Cisco DNA Center

A solid understanding of routing redundancy, network segmentation, high availability, and data center interconnects. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in CLI-based configurations and familiar with key troubleshooting tools (e.g., NetFlow, SNMP, Cisco DNA Assurance, packet captures). Responsibilities

Spearhead network operations for enterprise campus and data center settings, ensuring high availability and adherence to operational SLAs. Manage and troubleshoot EIGRP and BGP routing configurations to guarantee optimal path selection and route convergence across diverse network segments. Operate and maintain the VXLAN EVPN fabric within Cisco Nexus 9000 data center environments. Configure and oversee Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series switches and Cisco Nexus 9000 switches across all network layers. Utilize Cisco DNA Center for automation, software image management, assurance, and intent-based policy enforcement. Act as the escalation point for critical network incidents, performing advanced root cause analysis and planning corrective actions. Implement changes to the network through established change management processes and document all configurations, diagrams, and topologies. Collaborate with cybersecurity, server, and cloud operations teams to ensure the network supports enterprise modernization and hybrid architectures. Preferred qualifications include:

Holding a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in either the Enterprise or Data Center track; CCIE certification is preferred. Experience with network automation tools such as Python or Ansible is advantageous. Familiarity with ITIL processes and structured ticketing systems (like ServiceNow or Jira) is desirable. Experience in supporting FedRAMP, FISMA, or other federal compliance standards is highly valued.

Working Conditions & Schedule:

The primary work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Participation in an on-call rotation for mission-critical infrastructure is required. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence twice a week. There may be occasional evening or weekend support during change windows or incident escalations.

Job Type: Contract Pay: $90.00 – $102.00 per hour
