Primary Responsibilities

Lead the configuration and optimization of enterprise cloud solutions across AWS and Azure.

Ensure the security, standards, performance and reliability of all cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage and disaster recovery.

Execute strategic initiatives, project delivery and continuous innovation with technical acumen and leadership.

Essential Functions Cloud Architecture/Deployment/Automation & CI/CD

Build and maintain scalable and secure multi‑cloud environments.

Configure core infrastructure components: compute (EC2, Lambda, ECS, VM, App Service, Functions), networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, VNets, Private Endpoints, DNS Zones, Load Balancers), storage (S3, EBS, EFS, Blob, File Share, Disk Storage), databases (RDS, DynamoDB, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB).

Manage IaC using Terraform, Bicep or CloudFormation.

Automate provisioning, patching, scaling and maintenance tasks with Python, PowerShell or Bash scripting.

Monitoring/Logging/Performance Optimization

Deploy observability solutions: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics.

Implement centralized logging and alerting with Elastic Stack, Grafana or Azure Sentinel.

Optimize cost, rightsizing and resource tagging across both clouds.

Security/Compliance/Networking/Connectivity

Manage secrets and keys with AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault and Parameter Store.

Enforce compliance with CIS, NIST, ISO 27001 through AWS Config, Azure Policy and Defender for Cloud.

Conduct vulnerability scanning, patch management and threat monitoring.

Design and maintain hybrid network connectivity using VPN, ExpressRoute and Direct Connect.

Disaster Recovery/High Availability

Design and test backup, replication, failover strategies for mission‑critical workloads.

Configure multi‑region and multi‑availability zone architectures.

Document disaster recovery playbooks and test plans.

Miscellaneous / Other Work

Support serverless architectures with AWS Lambda and Azure Functions.

Perform additional duties to support the IT infrastructure team and overall business operations.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Deep technical knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, VMs, storage, containers and serverless services.

Strong understanding of cloud security principles and frameworks.

Familiarity with identity management and conditional access (Azure AD, MFA, SSO).

Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Python or similar).

Excellent communication, documentation, problem‑solving and analytical thinking skills.

Proactive, adaptable and continuous improvement mindset.

Strong leadership and ability to inspire team excellence and foster an inclusive culture aligned with organizational values.

Strategic thinking, operational execution and cost optimization skills.

Proficiency in Terraform or equivalent IaC tools.

Hybrid‑based with occasional travel and on‑call rotation.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.

Minimum 3 years of experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms in an engineering capacity.

ITIL Foundation or PMP certification.

Experience with Linux and Windows administration in cloud environments.

Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator/Architect Expert.

Preferred familiarity with Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) and containerization.

Terraform Associate/Professional certification preferred.
