We are seeking an associate to join the expanding Litigation team.

Position Summary

We are seeking an associate attorney with 2 to 8 years of experience to join our expanding Litigation team in the Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate must possess excellent writing, research, and analytical skills and will be responsible for assisting in the defense of complex civil litigation matters, primarily involving public entity defense. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement option and a competitive compensation package designed to reward performance and tenure.

Key Responsibilities

Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and all additional litigation documents with exceptional quality.

Engage directly with in‑house clients, expert witnesses, third‑party administrators, opposing counsel, and fact witnesses.

Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare memoranda on substantive legal issues critical to case strategy.

Participate in client interviews, witness preparation, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.

Attend court hearings and assist in trial proceedings as appropriate.

Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and partners throughout all stages of litigation, including appeals and enforcement of judgments.

Assist in defending complex civil litigation matters, including those involving:

Government tort liability and public entity defense.

Civil rights and constitutional claims (including excessive force and wrongful arrest).

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range:

$160,000 – $190,000 (actual salary depends on experience).

Bonuses:

Annual performance‑based bonuses, discretionary bonuses, and billable hours bonuses.
