Director of Partnership & Organizational Development
Join us at Ascension as Director of Partnership & Organizational Development to advance the Marillac Mission Fund (MMF) through partnership development and organizational capacity building.
Responsibilities As the Director of Partnerships & Organizational Development, you will:
Support the strategic integration of CPPS Mission Fund by developing partnership protocols, reporting processes, financial accounting, and impact evaluation.
Assist the Executive Director in expanding charitable partnerships aligned with MMF’s philanthropic mission and Ascension Foundation mission.
Provide organizational support to MMF leadership during strategic planning, implementation, and assessment of current systems and practices.
Oversee MMF Capacity Building and Leadership support programs, assess user experience, and recommend improvements.
Strengthen MMF’s consultant network for the Comprehensive Organizational Assessment and Report (COAR) program.
Develop and maintain a capacity‑building toolkit and evaluate investment impact and ROI.
Provide technical assistance to staff and grant partners to strengthen strategic partnerships and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic thought advisor to the Executive Director; provide high‑level executive support for funding initiatives and budgets.
Act as ambassador for the Executive Director and MMF in meetings and discussions.
Identify, cultivate, and expand partnership opportunities with aligned organizations.
Support MMF’s overall strategic direction, goals, and charitable grant program.
Demonstrate MMF and Ascension core values.
Strategic Charitable Partnerships
Oversee CPPS Mission Fund integration, effectiveness measurement, and reporting.
Develop internal protocols for partnership reporting, financial accounting, and impact evaluation.
Identify mission‑aligned congregations and institutions for partnership.
Support Ascension Foundation in system‑level charitable partnership development.
Represent MMF at strategic meetings and collaborative funder initiatives.
Organizational Development & Capacity Building
Assist with MMF strategic planning, implementation, and reporting.
Handle strategy, delivery, and evaluation of MMF’s Leadership Peer Circle and other leader support programs.
Evaluate user experience and program effectiveness; recommend improvements.
Manage consultant pool and expand the CMAR COAR network.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive capacity‑building toolkit.
Provide technical assistance to grantees and applicants.
Strengthen internal policies and processes for capacity building.
Present community presentations and share best practices internally.
Requirements
Education: High School diploma with 5 years of cumulative job‑specific experience and 2 years in leadership/management, OR Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of cumulative experience and 2 years in leadership/management.
Master’s degree in social work, business administration, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of capacity development and organizational development experience.
Minimum of 5 years in a responsible management position.
Minimum of 10 years working with nonprofit organizations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Business development and accountability.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinking for partnership development and capacity building.
Project management, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Leadership and team management.
Knowledge of capacity development principles and systems thinking.
Understanding of Catholic Social Teachings and experience with Catholic entities.
