$81,328 - $154,523 annually.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Represent a high volume of low‑level felony cases, resolving them through plea agreements and sentencing or transferring them to a trial team. No trial litigation.

Prosecute or defend a variety of criminal or civil cases in Justice Court, Juvenile Court, Superior Court, Federal Court, and Appellate Courts, covering misdemeanor, felony, dependency, delinquency, mental health, guardianship, conservatorship, probate administration, contract, tort, environmental, real estate, tax issues, child support, or appellate cases.

Represent County departments, boards and commissions in civil litigation and administrative matters.

Engage in negotiations for compromise and settlement of cases and comply with Victims Rights.

Engage in pretrial, trial, post‑trial and appellate practice as required by cases.

Prepare litigation documents, deposes witnesses, provides witness notification, and conducts bench and jury trials.

Research legal questions and draft legal motions, pleadings, briefs and other legal documents.

Review, evaluate, and participate in investigations.

Comply with all rules regulating professional responsibility.

Uphold the values and goals of the assigned Department and County.

Minimum Qualifications:

Juris Doctorate (J.D.).
