What You'll Get To Do

Properly evaluate and interpret engineering models, GD&T intent, and calibration results.

Manage daily metrology workflow to drive efficiency and optimal resource utilization.

Develop solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and innovative thinking.

Perform measurements and data post‑processing using portable metrology systems such as optical fixtures, motion simulators, and statistical software.

Serve as the main metrology interface between engineering and metrology technicians.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5 years of experience; or Master’s degree in STEM and 3 years of experience.

Experience using metrology equipment such as theodolites, autocollimators, laser interferometers, and mechanical equipment calibrators.

Experience with GD&T and interpreting engineering drawings and models.

Experience with automated calibration systems such as Surecal or Metcal.

U.S. citizenship required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience performing metrology evaluations and calibration of optical equipment used in surveying for astronomical reference north alignment.

Experience with gauge blocks to set up optical fixtures for yaw, pitch, and roll for navigation system reference on motion simulators.

Experience with tooling, fixtures, and precision angle levels.

Experience with mechanical metrology standards.

Salary Range: $103,600.00 – $155,400.00 (depending on experience, education, and market conditions). Overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentives may be available for certain positions.
