Ultrasound Tech, Breast Center, PRN
Position: Ultrasound Tech, Breast Center (PRN) at Piedmont.
Overview Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
Responsibilities
Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures.
Provide patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
Demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
Provide patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
Communicate effectively with staff and radiologists.
Qualifications Education
Graduate of an AMA‑approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital‑based training program, or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Required.
Work Experience
No experience required.
1 year of experience Preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
Must become registered by the ARDMS within six (6) months of employment. Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within six months of employment. Licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS).
Additional Licenses and Certifications
BLS certified.
Registered ARDMS and/or RVS/RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist) is desired.
