Responsibilities The Operating Room Nurse Manager oversees all departmental functions that support the hospital’s mission, vision, and facility goals. Key duties include:
Identifying and implementing cost‑effective systems in alignment with business trends and resource availability.
Establishing effective relationships with patients, physicians, staff, volunteers, and vendors.
Monitoring customer satisfaction data and engaging staff to improve outcomes.
Working with Senior Management to meet Facility goals.
Overseeing surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing services.
Serving as RN Circulator or Scrub Tech as needed.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; Baccalaureate degree preferred.
Current Texas RN license.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
Two (2) years of surgery management experience (pre‑op, intra‑op, post‑op).
CNOR preferred; independent decision‑making skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians.
